I felt very sad about political leadeship wrt Development of the country.

The political leadership obviously is corroded enough to be blinded to the development potential of the country. But I also feel the country probably lost out on the airlines that Tata's would have headed. Maybe it was fair to get into the business somehow with the long term vision of a good airline for the country even though the path was filled with bribing and other underhand activities. If the business has this muck, you can only purify it when you get into it. If you decide its too dirty and leave it how will the muck ever be cleared?
